Washing and blow drying
Dogs will always get washed during a full treatment. After washing, the coat will be dried using a high speed blow dryer. This is a more powerful variation on your home blow dryer, used to blow the water out of the coat, whilst also drying it.
During Clipping we model the coat using a clipper specially made for pets. Using different blades and comb attachments we can shave the coat to a determined length.
Using straight, curved or thinning scissors, the coat is being modeled.
With this technique, all dead/loose hairs are plucked out of the coat by hand. This will give the new coat room to develop. The top layer of hair is stripped and the underlying layer will surface. When the coat is ready for stripping, this will not hurt the dog at all.
Double coated dogs are relieved from the loose undercoat and old top coat. The dog is washed thoroughly for the hairs to come loose of the coat. We use shampoo and conditioner, and after a rinse the dog will be dried with the blow dryer. This dryer has such force to blow the undercoat and old fur out of the dogs coat.
